Submissions

Both device demonstrations and design concepts are welcome for 10-minute oral presentations or demonstrations followed by 5-minute question and answers sessions. Those interested in presenting at dap 2010 must submit 3-page PDF formatted abstracts and images.

This year dap 2010 will prepare a Device Catalog Book which will illustrate the current state of the field. Submissions will be prepared for inclusion in this Device Catalog Book. As such, it is important that the copyrights for the imagery used in submitted documents be held by the authors.

Process and Instructions

Submission will be handled using the EasyChair conference system. PDF-format 1000-word abstracts and images will be submitted and reviewed using this website.
  1. If you do not already have an EasyChair account, you will first need to sign up for an account.
  2. Login to the dap 2010 EasyChair conference system.
  3. Select "New Submission."
  4. Provide author details, adding yourself in the appropriate spot.
  5. Provide a submission title and a shorter 150-word submission abstract.
  6. Chose keywords for your submission. For technical submissions, consider using the ACM Computing Classification System to chose standard keywords.
  7. The actual submission selected during the "Upload Paper" step should be a 3 page PDF, A4 paper size. The first two pages should include text limited to 1000 words. The third page must include an image at a minimum of 2000 x 2000 pixel resolution. The document design and layout is free for participants to choose working within the constraint of A4 pages.
  8. Submit!

The workshop committee will use a jury format to assess submitted designs and demonstrations. Each abstract will be reviewed by a minimum of three program committee members and feedback will be provided with both accepted and rejected submissions.

We will notify authors of acceptance by September 15th. October 1st will be the deadline for camera-ready abstracts and imagery. Preceding the workshop, abstracts will be posted and available for public comment on the workshop website. During the workshop participants will vote to award a best design prize.

The 4th Call for Papers for dap 2010 is now available in PDF or Plaintext formats.
